It’s been a while since my last try with a CG Drawing but here is one. I call her Melinda. Not to sure if that is how you spell the name but it’s my try at it. So it’s been a long time and over the past couple of weeks I’ve been practicing my figure drawing so I hope that this is a much better improvement then the last drawing you have seen.
Okay, so with this one I did my basics with it. Pen and ink drawing and colored it using my favorite program of choice, Photoshop. This time, I’ve been trying some new things. I’m always trying new things. So with this one, the inking process was a bit different than what I’m used to. I usually like to use the Micron Felt tip pens from Sakura Products, but this time I said goodbye to them and started to use a Quill Pen for this one. It was definitely a different process that I was used to. I really don’t think I’ll be using them a lot in the future. I like the felt tips much better. But it was worth a try.
Another thing I tried doing was in the coloring. I tried to do the grass a little different. I sort of like how it came out but I’m not wowed by it thats for sure. I like how the colors on the character came out. That was something I was happy with but the rest of the drawing makes things just okay. So overall I do like how things turned out. The drawing is good and the colors are good. I say this is a nice drawing to get my creative juices flowing for the next project I plan on doing.
