Here is a rare look into how I develop character ideas. Here is an idea that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time and I’m finally getting around to doing it. This character is Kit-Kat Tiger. Actually this is an idea derived from my girlfriend who is being interpreted into my website design, being Jimmy’s girlfriend, and also for a comic that I’m planing on doing from time to time.

This is just a look into that thought process of mine that I do when I draw a new character. The first drawing from here is the left most drawing that is the full body shot. It was a bad quick sketch I did sitting in front of the TV. The second and third ones are done on the same page. I took the first drawing and refining a little. I tried doing glasses seeing my girlfriend, like me, wears glasses. However I voted against the glasses in the next drawing. Finally when I have an idea how it’s going to look, then I try a final sketch that would say how the character is going to look and that one is the bottom drawing. However, I sort of abandoned this drawing seeing I forgot to add the tiger ears on top of her head. Maybe I will abandon the ears all together or put them in? I haven’t decided yet.

Well there is the rare look into my thought process of developing characters. Hope you enjoyed this slight demo into my thinking. =)
